What do we offer?
a3 - Australian Arts Alive provides dynamic performing arts classes for children of all ages and abilities. We design programs that meet your curriculum or performance outcome needs. Workshops are all available with or without a Teacher Learning component.
Our programs can include:
- Fun, engaging, child-friendly and proper physical and vocal warm ups
- Music and dance games and activities designed to enhance life skills and teach dance and music concepts in a fun way
- Routines or songs that can be worked into performance items for school assemblies and community events
- Teaching resources; music, words sheets, choreology and accompaniment CDs (for songs) and DVDs (for dance routines) as well as accompanying teaching notes and extension activities
- Teacher learning for all staff involved. Building the capacity of specialist and classroom teachers is a focus for a3. As passionate educators, we believe in equipping teachers with the skills and knowledge to continue to build sustainable performing arts programs at their school.
Our program rates are inclusive of:
- Delivery of our proven programs developed over twenty-six years in the Australian Girls Choir and Aus Girls Dance and recently in partnership with 52 Catholic Primary Schools in regional Victoria and 9 schools in the City of Melbourne.
- Singing, dance and drama specialist teachers trained by the Australian School of Performing Arts and experienced in their own field. All staff are experienced in managing unknown groups.
- Team members who all have working with children checks.
- The sourcing of specialists and arrangement of a replacement if necessary; there will be no administrative concerns for you.
What is the outcome of an a3 program?
The arts are not just aesthetic and expressive. Numerous studies have shown that song, dance and drama are deeply cognitive experiences that develop skills increasingly crucial for young peoples’ futures – the ability to think creatively, communicate clearly and work collaboratively, deal with complexity and creativity and foster a drive towards excellence.
a3 aims to develop these skills by assisting students to explore the performing arts in unique and dynamic ways.
