"I could say thank you a thousand times for what you did. I have never had so much fun in a music lesson...You taught me how to sing and dance in a fun way...I found out that singing in front of a crowd is not so bad. Thank you again” Tom Harrington, St Mary’s Primary School Myrtleford
“Thanks so much for sharing your gifts and talents with our year 5/6 students and the staff. The wide variety of activities, both musical and action-packed, kept the students engaged and keen to participate. The kids would love to have you in weekly! The experiences the children have gained have helped them develop in ways that wouldn’t have been possible without you being here. Thanks again for everything you’ve done.” Dean Carroll, on behalf of the Senior Unit, Sacred Heart Primary School, Yarrawonga.
“Thank you girls for your energy and enthusiasm – wow! The kids have really looked forward to your workshops and heave come back readily wanting to share what they have done. What a great experience for them all! Looking forward to the next time.” David Freckling, Grade 5/6 St Mary’s Myrtleford.
“Rachael and Caitlin are the dynamic duo. They have engaged a large group of children wonderfully and were able to energise the group to participate with enthusiasm. They provided a program that was fun and varied, at the same time always moving the children towards their goal of their involvement in the performance on the 9th. It’s wonderful for the children to be involved in a program such at a3. Thankyou” Theresa Zeegers, Grade 5/6 St Mary’s Myrtleford.
“We have had a wonderful day singing and participating with the 15 other schools. It was an opportunity that will be a special memory in the years to come. Our students have found being part of a choir a rewarding experience. I am sure that for some it will be the highlight of their year....Thank you again” St Monica’s Wodonga
“I have been amazed at how involved and energised all the children have been during the session at school. The enthusiasm for all the songs, dances, “breaks”, and activities has been fantastic, reflecting the enthusiasm that you both have brought to our school.” St Joseph’s, Beechworth, D. Maylem.
“The impact of the choral program on the 5/6 students at Holy Rosary, Heathcote has been extraordinary. We have incidents of students coming to school when they could have had a day off because they didn’t want to miss out on the session, students whose demeanour has become totally animated during session times. As one student summed it up in conversation, They make singing fun.” Dr Kevin Messer, Principal, Holy Rosary, Heathcote
“Our Sessions have been full of ‘energy’ and lots of smiles and children having fun while learning how to fine tune their voices. Our children are very excited at the prospect of singing in such a beautiful venue for such an important event. Thank you girls for being so passionate and leading our reluctant singers to understand that singing is ‘cool’! You have had a huge impact on our children and we really appreciate it. Thanks” Peter Shorthouse, St Joseph’s, Rochester
I have had the pleasure of watching Sally and Rebecca at both schools. As a parent, it has been a delight to see my daughters enthusiasm for singing grow week by week. Your voice exercises have been very beneficial to her and she now has an ‘I CAN DO IT’ attitude. Seeing the children practice during their lunchtimes is a joy! Thank you” Sue Mann, St Liborius and St Therese’s parent
“The a3 input to the Sandhurst Festival of the Sacred has been brilliant and inspirational. I’ve come from Perth, WA, to be part of it as a friend of the Festival. In that, I’ve visited and sung with students in recent days who’ve been trained by Sally and Rebecca with magical results. Sally and Rebecca are gifted singers and teachers whose impact on the students has been life-transforming and beautiful. Congratulations to them and to a3 for it’s contribution to the arts and cultural life of Australia. I hope to see the fruits of this festival initiative flourish for many years ahead.” Christopher Waddell
“Dear Ms Gawley
Thank you so much for getting us prepared to sing at the Bendigo Cathedral on Wednesday. I really liked how we sang 'Amazing Grace' in the rockier tune, it was really cool! Our cluster sang 'Kyrie' was such an amazing song and when we sang it at the Cathedral it sounded even better. And what about 'We're all in This Together'! I love High School Musical and had a lot of fun singing it, as well as adding the dance moves to it! I don't even think I could pick a favourite song, they were all my favourite!
When Miss Sabatino and you came to our school I had a ball! I just couldn't wait til the Tuesday when you came to visit.
The vocal exercises were cool and funky, they really helped! 'Tarzan the Jungle man' was so much fun! That was such a cool dance and song. It was fast, poppy, hip, cute – I really liked that one!
I really enjoyed the time that you and Miss Sabatino spent with our school, it was so lively and we never ever got bored! I was really glad that we didn't just practise our songs, but did other stuff too. I was so disappointed, that after we sang at the Cathedral you wouldn't be coming back to teach us more things. I was truly memorised by your conducting. You put in so much effort, and were really punchy. You could tell you had passion for what you were doing! When you conducted 'Kyrie' I felt I could sing it better because I knew what I had to do!
I will be looking forward to the a3 Performing Arts Holiday Program in Bendigo - I can't wait to get back involved with the a3 program.
Thank you so much again, I truly truly appreciate it down from the bottom of my heart!” Emma Quinn, St. Marys Primary School Echuca – Grade 5
